Tables that have stayed in one place too long become invisible via familiarity, and we all know what that breeds! So refresh your rooms by mixing things up. Shift one table away from the wall and place another behind the sofa. Introduce a new coffee table, or a pair of side tables whose design doesn’t match your other pieces but harmonizes with them in interesting ways. Leave all the surfaces bare for a while to let your artistic eyes adjust before choosing a (very) few items that will enjoy pride of place. Let your tables be more than handy surfaces, use them to express yourself and to help set the tone of your space.
